How to add Bank statement in GIDDH and create entries from that.
To add your bank statement to Giddh:
First, log in to your Giddh account.
Make sure the bank account is already created in your company.
If not, you can create it by going to the Masters section at the top right and selecting the Current Assets tab. There you will find the “bank account” option.

Now, to open the ledger of the bank account, you can:
Press Ctrl + G (for Windows) or Cmd + G (for Mac) and search for the bank account name, or
Use the search icon at the top and search for the bank account manually.

Once inside the bank account’s ledger, click on the “Import Statement” option at the top right.

Select and upload the bank statement file from your system.

You can upload your bank statement in PDF, Excel, or CSV format.
Once you select the file, choose the correct options as per your statement format:

Enable “Is the header provided” – if your file already contains headings like Date, Amount, etc.
Enable “Have same column for debit/credit amount?” – if both Debit and Credit values are mentioned in the same column.
After selecting these options, click on Import and start mapping the columns as per your data.
Important Note:
While mapping, assign the Debit column of your statement to Credit amount and Credit column to Debit amount in Giddh (in case of excel and csv).
This is because, in bank statements, the Debit and Credit entries are opposite to accounting records.
Map the fields as per the headings and the content.

Once the mapping is done, click on the Import button at the top right. The imported data will now appear on the screen along with the amounts.
Next, click on Select Account and choose the account for which the entry needs to be created.

Finally, click on the Convert to Entries button at the top right to convert those into entries. The entries will then be created automatically, and the voucher type will be picked accordingly.
Next time onwards GIDDH will automatically start suggesting you the accounts as per the entries and description to reduce human efforts and time.
